Qualitas Energy fordert den Energiewende Dialog

Qualitas Energy, a leading fund manager and platform for the investment, management, and development of renewable energy, energy transition, and sustainable infrastructure, successfully participated in this year’s Spandau Sustainability Week in Berlin. The event, which runs until September 21, features numerous activities where companies, institutions and citizens collaborate to develop solutions for a more sustainable future.

On the opening day, September 14, Qualitas Energy joined Helmut Kleebank, Member of the German Parliament and Chairman of the Parliamentary Advisory Council for Sustainable Development, for a guided tour to the wind farm in Markee, Brandenburg. Interested parties gained valuable insights into the generation of sustainable wind power and had the opportunity to learn about the technical innovations and benefits of repowering wind turbines on-site.

“Close cooperation between politics and industry is crucial for advancing the energy transition in Germany. The Sustainability Week powerfully demonstrates the importance of dialogue among all stakeholders in paving the way for a sustainable future,” explained Helmut Kleebank, Member of the German Parliament, during the event.

Qualitas Energy seized the opportunity to provide information on developments in the wind energy sector and to raise awareness about the challenges and opportunities of the energy transition.

Olivia Muehlberger, Project Manager at Qualitas Energy Deutschland GmbH for the Markee wind farm, emphasized the enormous potential of repowering wind turbines to accelerate the energy transition: “Repowering turbines is a crucial step in enhancing the efficiency and reliability of renewable energy. By replacing older turbines with modern technology, we can maximize both the ecological and economic benefits.”

The company operates three wind turbines in Markee, installed in 2011, and supplies more than 4,000 households with environmentally friendly wind energy. As part of a sustainable use of land and to increase the production of clean energy, Qualitas Energy is planning a turbine repowering on site.

“We look forward to continuing our collaboration with politicians, local stakeholders, and society to implement projects that advance renewable energies in the future,” confirmed Markus Wechselberger, Public Affairs Manager at Qualitas Energy Deutschland GmbH.

Qualitas Energy Deutschland GmbH is part of the Qualitas Energy Group, which is committed to the transition to a decarbonized economy and focuses on the acquisition, financing, project development, construction, and operation of onshore wind turbines with a team of more than 250 employees in Berlin, Hamburg, Wiesbaden, Trier, Cologne, and Stuttgart.
